مضى على إعداد هذه المقاربات البحثية ونشرها متفرقة في بعض الدوريات أكثر من ثلاثين عاماً، خلال السنوات (1981 – 1985) ، ثم جمعت في هذا الكتاب الذي صدرت طبعته الأولى بعد بضع سنوات (1991). وتشير هذه المقاربات في سياقها الذي نُشرت عليه إلى مشاركة في مؤتمر بطرابلس، ومؤتمرين بتونس، ومشاركة في الموسم الثقافي بمركز جهاد الليبيين للدراسات التاريخية، والبقيَّة مشاركات متفاوتة متفرقة في بعض المجلات العلمية والثقافية الصادرة بطرابلس وتونس آنذاك، ومجموعها أحد عشر بحثاً ومقالة.
